About Andi
I’m DI Andreas Bean. Beanbox is my sole proprietorship in Graz, Austria: one engineer who can take a connected device from the sensor to AI in the cloud.
Background
- HTL Steyr – technical college.
- MSc Technical Physics, TU Graz (Diplom-Ingenieur).
- Senior software engineer since 2013 at an international gaming technology group: real-time C++, framework and game engine, now in the AI innovation team.
- Fellow of the Ronin Institute for independent scholarship.
Four granted US patents
Topics: gesture recognition, sensor calibration and electronic dice devices. All publicly available:
Workshop
Prototypes are not only built on screen. The workshop has a CNC mill, 3D printers and a measurement bench with oscilloscope. Metal parts are made by partners from my drawings.
Research
In my own research lab, the Adaptive Holographic Systems Lab, I work on physical network simulations on GPUs. That matters for clients who need to really understand signal processing, sensor fusion or edge AI.
How I work
- Remote – meetings in Styria by arrangement.
- In writing – requirements, decisions and results are documented.
- In milestones – each with a fixed price and a clear result.
